Making a second visit of the year, the British Racing & Sports Car Club heads to Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire this forthcoming weekend (September 17/18th) for selection of tin-top championships, plus the next instalment of the excellent C1 Endurance Series.

In what is undoubtedly being seen as a successful first year alongside the BRSCC, the Silverlake C1 Endurance Series, run by the C1 Racing Club, has provided great entertainment with a winner never guaranteed until the final minutes of a race. Most of this year’s race-winning squads are out in force this time at Croft this weekend amongst the 37 teams who are set to line up on Saturday for another busy three hours of racing.

Now reaching the end of its second full season, the Nankang Tyre City Car Cup is proving to be a much closer contest for the title this season with a healthy four-way scrap for the title with just two weekends left to run this season.

The Vinyl Detail ST-XR Challenge has had another competitive year with Michael Blackburn’s lead in the standings still under threat from those doing the immediate chasing behind him. Three more races in North Yorkshire will help find out whether he takes a step closer to the title or whether his rivals continue to eat away at his advantage. Sharing the grid once again will be the ever-developing Civic Challenge spearheaded by series creator Jon Peerless, as he brings eight potent Honda Civic Type Rs into the line-up too.

Always bringing a healthy mix of cars, the Track Attack Race Club heads to Croft with another concoction of cars from France, Germany, and Japan to populate its grids once more. The Nippon Challenge appears to be the home of the Mazda MX-5 on this occasion but there’s a much larger contingent contesting the Tricolore Trophy for French cars, with this class heavily populated with Renault Clios as expected. For German fans, the Deutsche Marks Cup will race hand in hand with the Classic VW Cup.

Making a guest appearance on the Croft timetable this weekend will be one of the stalwart championships that run as part of the MG Car Club’s Cockshoot Cup. With four classes represented within the championship that provide a home for a wide variety of MG models and specifications, there’s sure to be a great mix of cars on display here too, catering to both modern and classic machines that adorn the MG badge.

Practice gets underway at 9.30 on Saturday with the first of five races, including the Silverlake C1 Endurance series, commencing at 11.45 whilst Sunday sees track action from 12.00 with the remaining seven races starting at 12.00.

Adult admission is just £15.00 on both days in advance or £17.00 on the day with accompanied children aged 15 and under admitted FREE on both days. There is also FREE car parking and FREE paddock access.
