After kicking off the 2022 racing season in style last month, the Midlands-based 750 Motor Club returns north for a second instalment of high-speed action at Croft Circuit this forthcoming weekend. Armed Forces admission discounted to just £10.

Packed grids and close racing were the hallmark of the opening race meeting of the season at the popular North Yorkshire track and once again, that will prove to be the case as a wide variety of cars and competitors are set to do battle over the two days.

The Hitek Alfa Romeo Championship is celebrating its 41st consecutive year this season and will see Newcastle Upon Tyne driver Andy Inman in the mix over the two races. The ‘Toon’ is also represented by Dan Clowes (Jedi Mk 6/7) in the Swallow Hill Homes F1000 Championship which is the premier bike-engined single-seater category in the UK.

The Armed Forces Race Challenge promotes circuit racing within the Armed Forces and sees Yorkshiremen John Cobley (Seat Ibiza) and Pete Seely (Toyota MR2) in the 40-car grid whilst the Toyo Tyres Toyota MR2 Championship will see another capacity entry with local drivers Dan Silvester, Chris Brown and Stuart Brierley hoping for success.

Celebrating 55 years of competition this season, the 750MC Formula Vee Championship will include Richmond’s Tim Probert along with fellow Yorkshiremen Mark Egan and Sam Walbank in their respective single-seaters. The Protech Shocks Sports Specials Championship has only their second outing of the season at Croft whereby Londoner Andy Hiley took the double victory at Castle Combe at Easter in his Chronos.

The highlight on Saturday will be the TEGIWA Roadsports grid which will offer 45 minutes of sports and saloon car action in a mini-endurance race, where a maximum forty cars are set to take the start whilst Sunday’s action will see the Club Enduro feature race take place over a two-hour duration.

The UK’s biggest club championship will again see a full grid of production sports and saloon cars and some incredibly varied machinery including a 6.2-litre Holden Commodore right down to a 1600cc Mini Cooper.

Practice gets underway at 9.30 on Saturday with will be followed by nine whilst Sunday sees track action start at 12.00 with the remaining six races, including the 125-minute Club Enduro race.

Adult admission is just £15.00 on both days in advance or £17.00 on the day with accompanied children aged fifteen and under admitted FREE on both days. There is also FREE car parking and FREE paddock access.

ARMED FORCES ADMISSION DISCOUNTED TO JUST £10

With a number of members in active competition and as part of their policy of supporting HM Armed Forces this season, Croft Circuit and BARC are offering serving members and their families a discount on adult admission this weekend. Upon production of a valid MOD90 card, adult admission tickets cost just £10 either in advance or on the gate.

Meanwhile, with less than a month to go until Croft Circuit hosts the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship over the weekend of June 25/26, advance tickets are still available. Adult advance prices are £15 for Saturday (£17 on gate), £30 for Sunday (£35 on gate) and £40 for a weekend ticket (£47 on gate, subject to availability). Prices for 13 to 15-year-olds are priced at £5, £8, and £10 respectively and all accompanied children aged twelve and under go free.
